Why isn't my induction heating coil getting hot?

Induction heating equipment efficiecntly makes metal items hot, from a coil intended to remain cool.

In fact, the coil has water running through it to keep it cool!A huge alternating magnetic field is formed by the coil.Such fields cause the most heat to be generated in magnetic metals, such as magnetic steel. A stronger field is generated by the equipment to heat non-magnetic metals and other electrical conductors (such as graphite) to similar results.

BE CAREFUL THAT RINGS AND JEWLERY ARE NOT WORN NEAR THE OPERATING COIL, AND THAT KEYS AND COINS IN POCKETS ARE KEPT DISTANT AS WELL. CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER OF ANY MEDICAL DEVICES FOR GUIDANCE ON THEIR SAFETY IF USED ON SITE.
