Brazing steel flange and shaft assemblies (aerospace and automotive applications)

Induction brazing is a repeatable process that isn’t as labor intensive as a flame often is. The process can heat the assembly rapidly and more energy-efficiently than a torch without the safety risks that come with an open flame

Ambrell’s Solutions Aid Battery Manufacturers

Ambrell, an Ameritherm company and a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems, will be attending the 2012 Battery Symposium on the campus of Ohio State University. At the show, Ambrell will discuss how its induction heating systems have helped manufacturers with battery applications.

A common application is to solder battery cable and the battery terminal. Induction heating offers benefits over other soldering methods including repeatability as no hand work is required, speed, and added safety.  Induction heating from Ambrell has even been used to melt lead ingots to form battery posts and connectors.

The 2012 Battery Symposium in Columbus, OH will take place May 2-3, and Ambrell will have a table so attendees can discuss how induction might be able to help their battery manufacturing process. Attendees can fill out Lab Service Request forms to receive free lab testing of their application. The Lab Service Request process ensures prospective customers receive a system proposal that perfectly meets their needs.

“Ambrell is excited to attend the Battery Symposium once again,” said Tom Dickerson, Director of Sales. “Induction is perfectly suited for battery terminal soldering, and we look forward to speaking with battery manufacturers and discussing how we can enhance their manufacturing process.

Ambrell to Attend the International Brazing & Soldering Conference

Ambrell, an Ameritherm company, will attend the International Brazing and Soldering Conference (IBSC) which will be held April 22-25 at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas. The conference, which is hosted by the American Welding Society (AWS), includes a technical program that highlights the latest advances in brazing and soldering technology.

Ambrell representatives will be available at table B28 to discuss how their systems can help attendees with their brazing applications. Additionally, a new brochure will be available with information regarding the advantages of induction brazing, the different types of brazing, and fluxes and fillers. Ambrell looks forward to seeing you at the conference!
